On 20th July 1867 Emperor Napoléon III and Empress Eugénie of France hosted a dinner at the Tuileries Palace for a visit by Queen Stephanie of Portugal. The following invitation was issued to the Comtessa de Souza who was Mistress of the Robes to the Queen of Portugal. The top-left of the invitation is embossed with the seal of the House of the Emperor.​
